
Newton 4th Grade Boys Black Team Wins D1 Metrowest Championship
The Newton Metrowest Travel Basketball program plays competitive basketball (4th through 8th grade boys and girls) in the Metrowest Basketball League, which over 1000 teams from area towns. We stress teaching basketball skills, sportsmanship, and fun in a competitive basketball league environment. Newton typically offers a higher and lower division team in each age group. Players who live in Newton or attend Newton schools through the METCO program are eligible. Players must play in the grade that they currently attend.

Registration for the 2025-26 season is now open. Please read our FAQs before you register. Answers to most common questions are answered on this website. Tryouts are in October. The tryout schedule is posted. Games are typically on Sundays from December – mid-March. We are seeking parents and volunteers to coach at all levels.
